Cleared Auction Numbers on the Rise
15/10/2009
The total number of cleared real estate auctions has increased in all but one of
Australia's capital cities, new figures from RP Data have revealed.
Only Brisbane, in which the number of cleared auctions dropped slightly from 33
in the week to 4 October to 30 in the week ending 11 October, registered any
decrease.
The biggest movers were Adelaide, which saw real estate auction clearance
numbers increase from 29 to 46 over the same period, Canberra, which leapt from
12 to 32 and Melbourne which saw a rise of 418 to 490. Sydney, Tasmania and
Perth meanwhile, saw only minor increases.
